Despite both being a bit under the weather, Lynda and Angus set about cutting back the encroaching vegetation along Shaw Lane above Rishworth. This is a path well-used by walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers but the overgrown holly was beginning to restrict access - especially for horse riders.
Today's work was funded by Ripponden Parish Council

It was good to chat with a number of walkers and a horse rider, all of whom appreciated the work being done. A couple mentioned several other paths in the area which they felt needed attention. The job was made considerably easier and quicker using a Husqvarna electric multi-tool and a variety of implements, a pole-saw, long-reach hedge-cutter and brush-cutter.
