On a bright but chilly November day Todmorden was pleased to welcome several CROWS who rarely venture to this end of the valley.
Consequently, Angus, Ian, Steve, Guy and Kasher tackled a few more jobs from the 'to do" list:
1 Adding staples to the cross-treads of the Longfield Wood bridge to make this new(ish) structure even safer.
2 Installing a couple of marker posts on Tod 160 through Longfield Wood. We will return to paint some of the other post-tops yellow to make them more visible.
Then a move (thankfully) onto the sunny side of the hill to:
3 Fettle up a stile near Mount Pleasant on Tod 011 by replacing two legs and the treadboard, and also trimming nearby trees to improve access.
4 Sort out drainage issues on Back Lane (Tod 031) and Grey Stone Lane (Tod 011). These two lanes have regular visits from CROWS: both to strim and cut back in the summer months and then, at this time of year to sort out the drainage.
Today's work has been funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks! Without your contributions we would not be able to keep our fantastic network of paths in good condition.
