Permissive Path - Martin Mill / Ibbotroyd (Session 2)
Nick, Guy and Paul returned to this site to complete the flight of steps descending down from the road at the bottom of Walker Lane toward Ibbotroyd Clough The weather was kind to us today as were the walkers trying out the new steps who were full of gratitude for our efforts in making this path easier to walk on.

We installed an additional six steps down the slope to a decent level where walkers can safely walk. We then boxed in the sides with lengths of revetment and finished off the job by infilling with a mix of stone and soil topped off with some aggregate. The sides were landscaped with turfs of grass to fill in the gaps and root the structure.
