TODMORDEN -Various

On a day of rain, sleet, rainbows and spring sunshine there were two teams out from Todmorden:

1)     Mick and Gareth put in yellow-topped marker posts on the route from Cornholme towards Brown Birks. We will be back here in the next few weeks to widen the path (Tod 066) and to sort out the fencing at the top of the woodland and by the field below Brown Birks.

2)    RJ, Catherine and Kasher installed marker posts and way markers on a number of paths above Cross Stone Road and along the Calderdale Way. We also tackled some drainage issues along the CW. There is an amazing amount of water coming off the hills - stream crossings are difficult and some paths are now muddy quagmires!

A number of future jobs were also identified and will be added to the ever growing "to do" list. Many thanks to the residents of The Butts for allowing us to use their parking space. This was much appreciated.

Today's work in Cornholme has been funded by a donation from the Wreath Making Workshop held in Cornholme in December 2023. Other activities have been funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks.
