RIPPONDEN

 Lynda, Linda, and Ginny worked to open up the wide track next to The Silk Mill pub which leads from the Oldham road down to Pretoria Bridge which crosses the River Ryburn.  The vegetation is not intrusive at present, but we managed to dig up brambles and nettles before they take over in the Spring. 

We took care not to damage the delicate Scarlet Elf Caps which enjoy the damp woodland environment.

And when the council has painted the bridge the path will be an attractive approach to the river
