Over the last few weeks a lot of trees have come down, Some have been sorted by landowners, a few have been referred to Calderdale Highways. Today Ian Clarkson assisted by Rich tackled two.
The huge tree that has come down at the bottom of Brearley Lane has been referred to Calderdale highways - too big for us.

Then, after coffee and mince pie, we were off towards Todmorden
The lovely old track was completely blocked by a fallen tree.

We removed most of the minor branches so people can easily get underneath the main trunk which is very secure as it touches the ground in several places. Because of this, we decided it was safer just to leave it in place.
The drainage needs attention on this path, but that is for another day.
