BLACKSHAW HEAD - Noah Dale

Today's task has been on the "to do" list for a number of months but Kasher and Paul finally managed to walk from Egypt to the junction of Blackshaw 002 and Heptonstall 011, above Pad Laithe, to replace two treadboards on a stile.

There was a long walk-in to the work site but it was very atmospheric and interesting as we took the opportunity to investigate Pad Laithe and nearby footpaths.  Visibility was far from ideal but fortunately one of the party (guess who) was familiar with the paths and the terrain. Whenever the mist rolled away we were treated to great sights of Pad Laithe, Noah Dale, Noah Dale dam, etc.

We may be back to do more work (and exploring) in this area . . . . but perhaps on a slightly better day.

Today's work has been funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks.
