Gareth and Rich did a final visit to Castlegate Dam in Cragg Vale to waymark and finish path clearing. A collapse on the coffin path to Heptonstall has been dealt with.

The details
Permissive path waymarks were put up at either end of the dam, then we completed the path widening to make it safer for people to walk.

The retaining wall of a path below Heptonstall had collapsed leaving debris on the coffin path.
The stones were cleared and warning signs put up either side of the collapse.
CROWS are contacting the landowner to see how the problem can be remedied.
