REDACRE WOOD, Mytholmroyd

What a wet day - stair rods! So Linda H and Stella took to the shelter of Redacre Wood with spades and azads to work on the last path requiring work from our list of jobs there.  The Wood is lovely and criss-crossed by well-used paths.  This one more or less contours across the hillside and needed some widening and levelling at a few points to take it back from a steep and eroding edge.  We couldn't do the work earlier in the year because the bluebells were out and there was nowhere to put the spoil as we cleared it.  It had been waiting for a day requiring shelter for us to come back to it . . . and today was the day!

This work was funded by public donations to CROWS. Thank you for your support.
