Rich and Billie cleared up a couple of outstanding jobs that could be done with frosty ground.
A new waymark post was put in above Colden Clough on a path leading up to Five Ways
Getting the angle right |
Walking back, we did some overhead cutting back on a bridleway.
Then on to Northwell Lane, on the Calderdale Way below Heptonstall, which had been reported as overgrown. They were right!
The main problem was encroaching brambles which still seemed to be growing under the frost across the path! The main culprits were dealt with, but we have scheduled this path for a serious brush cutter clearance in the spring.
Using the hedge cutter to deal with the brambles |
As it is a bridleway, we also dealt with some overhanging trees.
Today's jobs were funded by Heptonstall Parish Council.
