Path behind Glen View
Jan returned with Kasher and Nick to the path behind Glen View where the steps had been cleared the previous week and a new bridge built the week before that. The clearing work had revealed many rotten steps which needed to be replaced. So, armed with new risers and stobs, we set to work on the flight determined to finish before the promised storm arrived.
It was a satisfying job, and good progress was made. In total, we replaced 10 rotten steps. The remainder are tatty, but serviceable. However, it might not be too long before another visit is needed to sort them out ...
