Blackshaw Head Fete: Flying the flag.
CROWS set up a display tent at this popular and well organised local Fete.
It was a most enjoyable day as we were able to speak to many people who not only shared concerns about rights-of-way, but also were very complimentary about the quality of the work we do.
A number of individual donations were received and we would like to thank the donors - your generosity in these financially difficult times is very much appreciated.
Here are a few pictures taken near the CROWS tent:

1. How many CROWS does it take to erect a gazebo? Unfortunately there is no prize for the correct answer!

2. Information leaflets, displays of work in the Upper Calder Valley and, in particular, around Blackshaw Head.

3. General display items and 17 different types of route markers - no wonder we get confused!

The weather was ideal. Some cloud cover with a warm breeze but no sign of the rain (with chance of thunder) that had been forecast earlier in the week. There was a large affable crowd and the event had a significant 'feel-good' factor. CROWS felt privileged to have made a contribution, albeit small, to this.
Flying the flag? . . . Here it is!
More next week . . . when we might be wetter!
