Today's "Strim and Trim team" of RJ, Fred and Kasher continued with the work on the following two paths:
a) Blackshaw 041 which runs from the Long Causeway, through the brewery yard, and on towards Burnt Edge.
This was strimmed so that the line of the footpath was clear and a walkable route created alongside the recently installed yellow topped posts.

b) Todmorden 011 (Greystone Lane)
Todmorden 011 was strimmed from the top of the path near to Greystone Farm. The ditch at the bottom of this footpath, which we worked on last week, was still flowing freely, and the areas of mud and slurry were drying out. The heavy-footed cattle, which had caused some of the drainage issues on this walled 'lane', had not ventured up the path so no further damage was evident.

Although the path is much improved from last week, we will need another session (or two) to cut back and strim the side of the path away from the ditch, and to reinstate the path's surface with large stones. We will also need to clear the damaged or silted turn-byes.

Today's work was funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks.
