On a day that offered both heavy showers and brilliant sunshine RJ, Fred, Jan and Kasher returned to Langfield Common and tackled a range of tasks on the paths up to Gaddings Dam. The morning saw us walking and working from the Shepherds' Rest via the Basin Stone to Gaddings Dam.

After lunch we continued beyond Gaddings and returned on the path below Jail Hole and then along the lower path (Withens New Road).
We put in new marker posts, painted existing marker posts, reseated posts which had gone AWOL, sorted out a number of drainage issues and improved the way-marking.
We spent some time reviewing a small bridge near the overflow to the breached Gaddings Dam. This will require work on it in the near future as the main beams are not in a good state.

Today's work was funded by Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks.
