Where the Pennine Way leaves the track, the post was rotten and lying on the floor. Replaced by low post directing people up the hill. No photo taken.
On the PW further uphill the stone flags were under water. The cause? A clogged-up channel.

Here is the problem - its deep!

 |
The end result - not pretty but dry!

Happy mud-splattered CROWS drainage team

Where the PW route goes off to the side of the reservoir the post had rotted at the top. Post shortened and waymarks added.
On the bridge, after heavy rain, the track fills with water making it difficult to pass. Drain cleared and a new drain put in. It will still be wet after heavy rain but shouldn't be so deep.
Work funded by Natural England and Calderdale Council Highways.

On the way back - two herons and two oyster catchers - what a treat!
