SOWERBY: Wood Lane

A local CROW reported this path which extends from the bottom of Wood Lane down to the railway, thus providing a route from Sowerby down the hill, over the railway and the canal to the valley bottom and the A646.  It's an old walled lane (following the route of a Roman road according to the landowner) and was completely impassable, being choked with brambles, ferns, nettles etc.

Billie and Stella set to and managed to open up about half of it, as well as adding waymarks.  We hope to finish the rest next week.
