We returned to this steep field path where we had uncovered a wonderful set of causey steps a few months ago. Unfortunately they were now obscured by bracken and the stile at the bottom was broken.
Once the bracken was cleared we were able to fix a new rail . . .
. . . . and place a large stone below to make it easier to cross.

We then went to clear a path near Littlewood House leading up from Cragg Road to 'Craggies', but it had been built with concrete steps that had fallen apart and was too dangerous to use.
Unfortunately the alternative path, slightly higher up, no longer exists so we will have to decide whether it's worth tackling this job.
