CALDERDALE WAY ABOVE MIDGEHOLE

Mo & Stella were delighted to be able to spread our wings again at last.  Nothing like a bit of holly- taming and turnby clearing to get us back into the swing of things.  This was on the lovely stone way below Heptonstall "by-pass" running down towards Midgehole.  The turnbys are deep and mostly sound - but looked like they hadn't been cleared for many years.  We'll come back next week to finish this part of the job. Lower down, below the road to the scout hut, this lovely old way will require more specialist attention which is in the pipeline.

Turnbys almost invisible, Holly ready to ensnare tall people or folk on horses
