Ginny and Rich tackled several jobs in this part of Heptonstall Parish.
First was to waymark a three-way junction above Knoll Top.
Next we had to deal with a finger post, on the same track, that had been snapped off.
Post re-erected - albeit a lot shorter than before! |
On to Edge Lane where we had three jobs to do.
Cutting back the Pennine Way up from the Lane
Trees and encroaching heather all cut back |
Cutting back the gorse that was making people leave the path.
Gorse cut back (before the birds come to nest) |
Then up the hill to the edge of Heptonstall Moor to put in a waymark post on Pennine Way.
Waymark post at a four-way junction |
Work funded by Heptonstall Parish Council
Good to be out working again.
