We managed to clear 60 steps by lunch time ...
... and then 30 more, but there's still a lot more steps higher up, so we'll be back another time.
Meanwhile Lynda and Eleanor were working on a bridleway in Soyland that we had cleared about 3 years ago but a local resident had reported was becoming overgrown again.
We noticed that a motorised vehicle had been going up and down the bridleway, so the track was churned as well as muddy. We concentrated on cutting back, particularly at the bottom end of the track, to make the entrance to the bridleway more obvious and as an added measure put up a bridleway marker.
