Richard Peters, secretary of CROWS thanked loads of people who made the project feasible:
- All the runners, walkers and bikers who came up to transfer all the timber
- Jan Gibson from Highways who helped us get over some large hurdles
- Local residents and landowners who supported the project, especially Liz Smith at Bell House
- White Ribbon staff who had to suffer 2000 staples being hammered in while they were trying to work upstairs
- CROWS volunteers under the expert supervision of Dick Stephenson who put all the boardwalks together in record time
- Calderdale Countryside Service for making the finger post.

Oh, when the rain beats down and fills up all the pools in the bog
And your feet are so wet, you wish your muddy boots
were on a log
Over the boardwalk, up on the moor, yeah
In the footsteps of the Coiners is where we'll be
Chorus
(do sing/ clap/sway along)
(Over the boardwalk) Out of the scum
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be havin'
some fun
(Over the boardwalk) People strolling
dry
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be walking
high
Over the boardwalk, boardwalk
On the moor you hear the floating calls
of snipe and curlew
Mmm, you can often find a lapwing or a CROW in view
Over the boardwalk, up on the moor, yeah
In the footsteps of the Coiners is where we'll be
Chorus
(Over the boardwalk) Out of the scum
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be havin' some fun
(Over the boardwalk) People strolling dry
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be walking high
Over the boardwalk, boardwalk
La la-la-la-la la, la
la-la-la-la la la-la la, (or hums or croons!)
La-la-la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la-la la-la la, (or hums or croons!)
Oh, Over the boardwalk, up on the moor, yeah
In the footsteps of the Coiners is where we'll be
Chorus
(Over the boardwalk) Out of the scum
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be havin'
some fun
(Over the boardwalk) People strolling
dry
(Over the boardwalk) We'll be walking
high
Over the boardwalk, boardwalk
After which everyone continued across the moor - and the boardwalks - to The Robin Hood in Cragg Vale to enjoy well earned refreshments.
