There were two teams out from Todmorden today in less than ideal weather conditions:
Team 1: Gareth and Stella left Todmorden with a long "to do" list of markerposts to be replaced and drainage to be checked in Todmorden and then along Lumbutts Road. Suffice it to say that many of the jobs will need to be carried over to next week. Hail and thunder stopped play! We've few photos to show for today's hard (and very wet) work.
Team 2: Catherine, David and Kasher returned to Ramsden Clough to try to sort out a number of drainage issues. The first one was on Tod 135 and the second was on Tod 193 (which we worked on last Wednesday). It's a long time since we managed to get so wet! Horizontal rain and large hailstones do not make for ideal working conditions!
Today's work has been funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks for your support in helping us to maintain the network of footpaths and bridleways in this area.
Thanks too to Tom who again allowed us to park near his house thus minimising the distance to carry tools to the worksite.
