LUDDENDEN - Norton Tower

We received a message via the form on the CROWS' website about an overgrown bridleway in Norton Tower. The nettles were shoulder high, which made it difficult for walkers, and the trees met overhead, making it impossible for horse riders.

A team of three - Angus, Frank S, and Jerry - set to work with strimmers, hedge cutters, shears and loppers. By lunchtime it was clear again . . .and it had already been used by half a dozen dog walkers, who thanked us for our efforts.

This work was funded by donations from local walkers. Thank you for your support.

Shoulder-high nettles

Trees meeting over the top

Now clear enough for walkers and horse riders

New waymarks added at each end.
