There were two teams out from Todmorden today:
Team 1: Catherine, Kasher and Neil Mc returned to the Todmorden Moor Geology Trail to:
- Complete the boardwalk built on Wednesday
- Sort out the timbers from the old boardwalk
- Reinstate marker posts (both for the Geology Trail and for the Todmorden Centenary Way) across Todmorden Moor
- Replace some of the cross-treads on two boardwalks and add in staples
- Replace some of the Geology Trail way markers
There is still some more work to be done on this trail......more next week hopefully.
Team 2: David and Jerry went to Back Lane (Tod 031), near Pex Tenements, to sort out drainage issues and to shore up the path which is being undercut by the stream.
Today's work on the Geology Trail was funded by a grant from Todmorden Moor Wind Farm. The work on Back Lane has been funded by individual donations to CROWS. Many thanks.
