Linda, Jerry and Angus headed up to Helm Farm above Mill Bank to replace a dilapidated stile between two fields. This work was identified by the landowner who generously contributed to its replacement. The location of the damaged stile is shown on the map below.

Old stile removed in preparation for a new 2025 version c/w dog gate.
Once the old stile had been removed several holes were dug in somewhat difficult conditions - stones, clay and a cold wind! All posts were sited and secured under the watchful eyes of the local sheep population.

With the holes excavated it was time for a coffee break.

Job completed, time to tidy up and head home.
