There was a team of four out today on footpath Sowerby Bridge 037 which goes up the hill from Warley Wood Lane. Frank S, Guy, Jan, and Steve were faced with a broken fingerpost and two broken stiles. The fingerpost was quickly re-erected, and we moved on to the first stile which was almost hidden by the encroaching holly. We removed a pile of stones from the wall that had collapsed onto the stile, re-positioned the two leaning posts, added a new leg for the treadboard, and put it all back together!
At the second stile we cut back the holly, installed a new treadboard and legs, and built stone steps leading up to it.
