On a lovely day, which was only marred by the clouds of midges, RJ and Kasher worked on the steps going steeply up the hillside off Allescholes Road (Tod 141). This was the third session on this long flight of steps.
Today's tasks were to:
- install another revetment at the bottom of the first flight of steps;
- replace the risers and stobs for six more steps;
- stabilise the fence at the top of the flight of steps.
A final session will be needed to:
- re-establish the fence at the bottom of the first flight of steps;
- replace the risers and stobs for two (or possibly more!) steps;
- infill all of the steps;
- cut back the trees and vegetation lower down the route;
- install one yellow topped marker post.
