WADSWORTH

 Wadsworth - Seed Hill

Ian S and Paul returned to Seed Hill to finish installing some steps on a footpath that goes downhill from the rear side of Seed Hill toward Dodnaze:

It was a typical South Pennine day - mizzle, drizzle and mud! We continued where we left off by adding four steps to the 6 step flight that had been installed previously. Then, further down the path, we created some stone steps using existing on-site material and installed a wooden step at the bottom of the path to complete the job.

Work funded by CROWS donations - thank you.

4 new steps created ready to fill in

There had been some stone steps which had dislodged over time. Ian worked on rearranging these steps while Paul filled in the new steps with stones and soil. The path was widened as a result.

We will need to return to check how the infill has settled and to further widen the path at the top and bottom ends.
