Keeping Dry.
Cold rain was falling heavily. The work on some remote moor beyond Great Rock was postponed and tasks in the dry substituted.
1. In the depot:
Ken cut timber and sorted some donated tools. Here's a picture - perceptive followers will notice that Ken has barely changed since 2022!
2. In Todmorden:
Kasher and Frank H sorted a selection of CROWS photographs for a display at the Todmorden Information Centre. This well-run enterprise has a wealth of local detail about societies, activities and events as well as a broad range of useful information for other parts of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. It is well worth a visit.
Here's a picture of part of the CROWS' display showing tasks undertaken in the Todmorden and Blackshaw Head areas. Adverse light conditions made photographing the display difficult so a visit 'in real life' is recommended!
3. Just the drill:
One of our 18 V battery drills (now out of warranty) ceased to function as the 'trigger' had mysteriously jammed. Frank H spent a fruitless hour dismantling the drill only to find the damage was irreparable. No picture available on the grounds that drill innards have limited photogenic appeal!
More next week . . in finer conditions?
