TODMORDEN - Hartley Royd (2)

Of the two teams working, today, near Hartley Royd (in Shore, above Cornholme),  RJ, Fred and Kasher were on strimming and cutting back duties.

We were tasked to strim the bridleway (Tod 048) which is a walled lane going from Hartley Royd to Stoney Lane and the Calderdale Way. We also also started the strimming and cutting back of Tod 064, a small path which "just" cuts off a corner at the bottom of Bluebell Lane to joins Tod 048.

Finally we strimmed a section of soft rush adjacent to the bridleway down to Hudson Bridge, on Tod 049, so that drainage work can be undertaken on Friday. New marker posts and way-markers have been added as appropriate.

We would like to thank the owner of Hartley Royd for allowing us to park in her yard and also for the donation of a considerable number of tree guards.

Today's work was funded by Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks.

Soft Rush completely covering the walled lane!

Bridleway Tod 048 cleared. Note the amount of
