On a rather wet day Fred, RJ and Neil Mc ventured to Little Cornwall (a long way from Todmorden!) to strim and cut back on a walled lane.
Little Cornwall is the local name for the group of houses, many painted white, below Cross Stone Church. The footpath is a useful local path which starts on Millwood Lane and crosses Broadstone Street before coming to Little Cornwall. It is a route that features on one of the short "Bus Walks" from Todmorden.
The team also carried out a test run on a re-furbished strimmer/brush cutter which had been donated to CROWS. Many thanks. This strimmer will help us in our battle against the summer's lush vegetation that is blocking public rights-of-way.

Today's work was funded by Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks
Willowherb has taken over this pathway.- It just goes to show there's no stopping Epilobium angustifolium! |
The strimmed route with a distant CROW - possibly Corvus Corone. Mmm! What a carry on! |
