A sunken path from Broad Fold Farm to Jerusalem Lane was reported as choked with nettles, brambles and grass. Hats off to a group of people who had got there before us and had done a real cutting back job. This made it much easier for Richard J, Fred and Rich to use brush cutters and hedge cutters to take the vegetation right back.
It is a lovely and useful old path, but if people don't use it, the path will revert to being impassable.
Today's work was funded by Calderdale Highways.
The details
Richard J and Fred worked on the base and sides of the path while Rich worked on the encroaching brambles from the fields above and cleared some of the fallen wall stones.
