The strimming season has now started! With a number of paths all deserving attention, Fred and Kasher decided to work on two paths in Warland (Tod 184 and Tod 185).
These paths give beautiful views of the valley and the canal, and look across to Allescoles on the opposite hill side. We were surrounded by bluebells, unfurling bracken and the sweet smell of hawthorn and apple blossoms.

2. Looking towards Warland Farm. |
These paths would be a fantastic alternative to walking along the canal with the added bonus that you will have the place to yourself and will not have to worry about the passing cyclists.
These paths, and the continuation paths towards Bottomley, will need another strim in the middle of the summer.

Many thanks to the residents of Warland Farm for allowing us to park in their yard and for the top up of fuel for the strimmers.
Today's work was funded by a grant from Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks.
4. Bluebells - which survived the strimmer blades. |
