Today Mick and Neil M. drove up Bacup Road to Sharneyford wind farm, to fix a marker post at the request of Calderdale Highways Department. This marks the start of footpath Todmorden 096 heading for Limers Gate.
Back down the road to take a look at Todmorden 100 through South, Middle and North Midgelden Farms. We fixed two waymarks to stiles, showing the ways down towards Clough Foot and up on to the moor, but further signage would be of benefit to clarify the three rights of way radiating from here.
Finally we moved on to Obadiah Wood (see 4 November last year) to clear out the drainage channel which prevents the path becoming waterlogged. This section looks as if it is going to need periodic inspections and maintenance.
