MYTHOLMROYD - Hoo Hole Lane

Frank S, Jerry, and Ray were at Hoo Hole Lane today. This starts at Cragg Road as a paved road. Higher up it becomes a footpath sunken between two walls, and further up still it becomes a concrete track. Where the path meets the concrete track there's a two-foot high step, and walkers have asked for easier access. This is how it looked to start with.

And this is the result.

The steps may not be the most elegant, but they make the climb up to the concrete track much easier. There are two temporary stone steps at the bottom, and we'll return in a few weeks and replace them with some more wooden steps.

We also cut back a section of the path lower down and cleared the drain at the side.
