CRAGG VALE - above Withens Clough

Stella and Rich spent the morning clearing up some small jobs.

The first job was to re-erect a fallen finger post on the track called Cragg Road.

A sad sight
Post cut down and re-seated - should last a few years (Stella is sorting out a bit of drainage)

We then went down to Stony Royd where a waymarking issue had been reported. Three new waymarks should now make the route clear.

Then it was on to Parrock Clough to collect the scrap timber from the old footbridge that was dismantled a few weeks ago. (There is a new footbridge in place! It's well worth a visit!)

Today's work was funded by Calderdale Long Distance Walkers' group.

The session was followed by a very productive quarterly members' meeting - thanks to the hospitality of the Dusty Miller.
