Mick and Ian V were out again on Inchfield Pasture to reinstate a number of of yellow-top posts that had been reported to have been knocked over. The moor has a very boggy section in the middle and the path can be very difficult to negotiate as can seen from the photo below - and that is during a very dry August. After sustained rainfall this can be mud up to your armpits!

We searched and found a number of displaced posts, selected a better route, and marked it out by reinstating the posts in appropriate positions. A job for another dry and windless day will be to repaint the yellow tops to make them more visible.
A further job will be to survey the route after there has been some rain to identify whether there is a need to make it easier to walk cross the very muddy sections. A boardwalk had been installed in this area several years ago and we spent some time searching for it in case it could be re-used, but to no avail. Maybe an opportunity for Ken to use his drone to survey this section and locate the missing boardwalk?.
