Ray, Heidi and Rich worked on replacing a boardwalk near Spa Bridge.

We had a little time to spare, so we replaced a rotten step and removed some of the balsam growing around the Spa.
This boardwalk was funded from a legacy left to the West Riding Area of the Ramblers' Association by the late Gerald Hardwick (1934 - 2020), a keen walker who loved being out in the countryside.

More about this later in the week (heat wave permitting). A ruined stile will be replaced with a gate, and (out of picture) a stock fence will need re-instating. Could be tricky . . . or perhaps not! The excitement mounts!
