TODMORDEN TENNIS CLUB
Ginny and Ian V returned to the path leading up from Todmorden Tennis Club towards the golf course. Problems with water flowing down this path in times of rain had been reported. When we visited last week we had noticed some cross drains (or turnbys) were completely silted up - a likely cause of the problem. So, in sweltering heat, the task this week was to remove the build up of silt and to cut back encroaching vegetation. A morning of hot sweaty work saw us dig out four turnbys and clear the offending vegetation before retreating home for a cool drink and a shower!
