PENNINE WAY - Withens Clough Head and Lee Mill, Hebden Bridge

Linda and Rich dealt with waymarking, a rotten finger post and some drainage issues on the Pennine Way.

We walked quite a long way . . . and we were carrying tools!!

Rather battered Rochdale Way waymarks transferred from a rotten post in a ditch!

Water across two flag stones which are sinking into a bog

Both flags lifted up and packed with stones.

Finger post with rotten top and loose flag.

Slightly shorter but will do the job.

Work funded by Natural England and Calderdale Council Highways.

Hebden Bridge - steps between Lee Mill Road and Midgehole Road

This is part of the popular walking route from the town to Hardcastle Crags

A step was reported as rotted leaving a metal spike which presented a trip hazard . . . so a bit urgent!

Just ready for someone to take a tumble!

All sorted

Work funded by donations to CROWS. Many thanks to the person who reported this problem.
