DAISY BANK Mytholmroyd

Encouraged by a warmer (if greyer day) Heidi and Stella returned to Daisy Bank to replace the broken and missing steps we measured up for last week, and to paint a yellow top on a waymark post to make it more visible from the gate leading out of Park Road.

This work has been funded by Little Box Consulting. Thank you.

The red dot is the waymark post,
the red line shows where the steps needed fixing.

Cutting the timber with the power saw...

.......important to concentrate!

The loads of timber and tools to carry up the hill

The first two rotten steps

The hardest and longest part of this job was digging out the old steps and stobs - much digging, swinging of lump hammer and serious heave-ho.
But then...

Levelling up.....

.......and finished.

The third step was in the trees -
which involved a bit of a tussle with tree roots

But job done

And here is Heidi channeling her inner
street-artist skills to spray-paint the waymark
post . . . whilst wisely staying up-wind!
