Another long list of small (but essential) tasks for Ken and Kasher to tackle around Todmorden.
1) Repositioning a wooden finger post
This finger post is at the top of the footpath coming down into Gut Royd. The fingerpost was leaning against the wall a few weeks ago so it was taken and given some TLC. We have now managed to reposition this.

2) Steps, marker post and barrier in woodland off Dog House Lane
Problems on this route were reported to CROWS a few weeks ago. We have now replaced two steps which were missing. Where the route was slightly unclear, we have put in a marker post and have reinstated the barrier of branches etc to stop people going down the original route (which had been officially closed because of a landslide).
We may go back to the lower steps here to stabilise them by adding in a short piece of revetment. We will also need to return to repaint the small marker posts which are no longer yellow!

3) Stile near Pind Hole
We had been expecting to replace a leg and a treadboard on this well used stile but after investigation we decided that a few more judiciously placed long nails and some infilling and tamping of the ground near the legs would suffice, at least for this season.
