In the lovely Luddenden Valley in crisp sunshine, Frank S and Rich worked on a steep slope down to Goitside. There were signs of stone steps but they were very difficult to see or use - especially going down.

A really satisfying day, great to see the steps re emerge as they are part of local history. They were probably put in in the first half of the 19th century by the Paper Mill to get workers down from Booth.
