AROUND COTTONSTONES

Eleanor, Graham L and Rich worked in two locations.

i) Path from Upper Lumb Farm to Helm Farm

The whole route was waymarked and an extra marker post was installed.

ii) Clough Bank Lane from Toot Hill

A lovely (unmarked) sunken bridleway but over-grown with an awkward narrow groove, and a drainage problem half way down.

Cutting back, widening the path, scraping and putting in a channel should make it much easier to use.

Path all scraped and widened

A rough stone surface but usable as a bridleway.

Thanks to Sowerby Residents Association (and indirectly Tesco Bags of Help) for funding this work
