Post number one - the footpath going off the Burnley road into Brearley Woods. The bluebells are lovely this time of year.
To make sure the new post stays put we had to dig a very deep hole, then pack it with earth and stones and ram them down with a bar to securely fix it. It rained so the job was a muddy one. (We have had a lot of mud lately). The footpath sign was added to make sure people know what direction to head to.
Post number two at Stake Lane Mytholmroyd was a finger post that had been hit by something very hard, broken and the direction finger removed.
We dug out the broken post, cut off the damaged top end and reinserted the much shortened post, putting on the way mark signs including the sign for the Mytholmroyd walkers action Scout Rock route.
It rained! So yes, we were covered in mud again by the end of the job!
