BARKISLAND VILLAGE WALK 1 : Section of Path from Upper Coneygarth

Ian S , Lynda and Eleanor had a short day working on this section of the path due to various circumstances but did a good hacking back of brambles and vegetation to widen this lovely path below Upper Coneygarth. Must be rabbits somewhere but we didn't see any !

Brambles scratching your ankles all the way down

.....that's better. And further down towards Lower Coneygarth the path got increasingly narrow, dominated by heather and bilberry bushes.

After some serious cutting back, the path opened up. We didn't finish the whole path and will bring a hedge cutter next time for the denser parts.
