MYTHOLMROYD

 TED HUGHES WALK

Heidi and Mo were out on Monday in Mytholmroyd. First they had to fix a waymark post on the Mytholmroyd children's Bee Boles walk. It  had been damaged and needed to be dug in deeper and 'dead men' fitted to stop it being pulled out again.

Then they had to replace several slats on the boardwalks across the field below Stephenson House, Burlees Lane. The slats  needed to be cut on site to fit and then Heidi used the electric drill to make the holes for the large screws that would hold the slats firmly in place. Neither Mo nor Heidi  were skilled in the use of such equipment and it needed some fiddling about by Heidi before she worked out how to use it. But, she got there in the end and both of them were rather pleased with themselves for tackling the job without being supervised by more experienced CROWS. The sun shone for their first day back from the last lockdown.

No photos of Heidi - she was too busy holding the camera!
