ABOVE MYTHOLMROYD

Mo and Rich worked on a path that connects the end of Burlees Lane up to Raw Lane. There were several drainage problems on this popular path. A drain had been overflowing down the path and steps for quite some time making a right mess.

The holly was cut back to give access to the drain and then the drain was dug out and the path and steps scraped. The running water stopped immediately so the path should dry out very quickly.

Water pouring down the steps, then all clear and quite dry

Path scraped and a good drain restored to take off the water

We then moved down the path to a second problem. A side drain was dug out but didn't solve the problem. We discovered an old leaking drain which we connected to the side drain.

Water now flowing off the path

Few other smaller drainage problems were dealt with.

We should have taken a joint selfie of the two mudlarks!
