TODMORDEN - Warland, HEBDEN BRIDGE - boardwalk, COLDEN - cutting back

TODMORDEN

Fred and Mick worked on the path from Warland Bridge to Warland Farm (part of the Tod Boundary walk).

The path was very overgrown, needing strimming and heavy tree lopping.

A great improvement

NUTCLOUGH

Mo and Ginny worked on a boardwalk in Nutclough woods.

Several slats were rotten so we removed them and replaced them (though a return visit may be needed!)

We also widened the water course to prevent it constantly wetting the boards and cut down a sapling that was shading the boardwalk, preventing it drying out.

COLDEN
Then we were joined by Heidi at a footpath behind houses just off the Pennine Way in Colden.
It was very overgrown, but after a few hours cutting back it was much improved. It was jolly hard work though - and it rained!
