The two paths highlighted |
Work on the first path running down through the woods to Hebden Water was started before 'lockdown'. This lovely path was covered in mulch which when scraped revealed an old paved surface.
A large stone slab revealed |
Some of the old stones appearing |
We also put in some side drains to prevent water from running down the path.
This work was funded by the National Trust Crags access project
Ginny and Rich went on to cut back the very overgrown path coming down from Slack - brambles, nettles, overhanging trees ... the usual stuff.
And Ginny dealt with a small patch of Himalayan Balsam.
